The Infrastructural Hacker's Guide: Inter-modal Exchanges within Toronto Pearson International Airport. This project essentially required us to create a "Hacker's Guide" for some type of infrastructure, using 200 words or less. I chose Pearson Airport, and more specifically, the inter-modal exchanges that occur on the premises. I constructed a base map that outlines the different modes of transportation: car, LINK train, taxi, and the bus. The base layers contain their travel route and outline their activity using gradients. At each inactive part, an exchange occurs between passengers and their mode of transportation. Vignettes are illustrated to accent those inter-modal and personal moments. As well, a base map of Terminal 1 shows a typical path of a departing passenger. Inter-modal exchanges that occur are also highlighted.
